Methodology

The Cricket Education Program syllabus has been built via nine Key Learning Areas (KLA). Each KLA has a very clear objective providing direction to all activities. The CEP coaching philosophy employs the GAME methodology and seeks to develop players through activities rehearsing game situations, simulating the match environment and a structured match program.

1 Batting To develop players who are able to score runs and protect their wicket
2 Pace Bowling To develop players who are able to and take wickets and restrict runs using pace and movement of the ball
3 Spin Bowling To develop players who are able to take wickets and restrict runs through imparting spin on the ball
4 Fielding To develop players who are able to take catches, save runs in the field and execute run outs
5 Wicketkeeping To develop players who are able to take catches and execute stumpings  and run outs
6 Fitness for Cricket To develop  a fitness  base to optimise the individual player's performance
7 Leadership To develop interpersonal skills, self esteem, discipline and responsibility
8 Coaching To develop practical knowledge in key cricket coaching techniques and principles
9 Umpiring & Scoring To develop umpiring and match management skills
